Case study:
“XYZ company is a shoe manufacturing company having its presence in the European region. They want to expand their footprint to the US. They currently do not have any digital interface, but going forward their vision is to utilize state of the art technologies to expand their overall reach and footprint across these 2 regions. Currently, they have a central intranet portal to manage the inventory across different stores. However, with the vision they have, they want to have a greenfield implementation of the inventory system that is integrated with the new website.
Below is an outline of their vision and requirements:
• They have partnered with AWS, since AWS has offered them discounted rates if they built the solution using AWS native services
• Since this is the first project on AWS, cloud governance model will have to be implemented for network and security
• Features like ability to send information about latest offers and discounts to the customers over phone / email
• Fully compliant and secure website (including infrastructure, website, etc.)
• Highly performant
• 24x7 site availability
• Time to market for new features and updates
• Monitoring and auditing capabilities
The management are currently open to any tech stack but they are looking for a AWS native cost effective solution with the latest technologies. As part of the response towards this request from XYZ company, Company is expected to provide the following deliverables:
• Cloud architecture diagram
o Including network and security best practices
• Tech stack based on your assumption with proper justification for selection of a particular cloud services
• Monthly running cost estimate
• A rough timeline for a complete production level implementation
• Working demo (with at least one working flow – end to end)
