I am a new Professor for an accounting information systems course looking to develop an Excel based assignment that helps my students learn to become intermediate to advanced Excel users. I have already put together an Excel tutorial assignment that walks my students through the basic features of using the application interface, formatting techniques, basic charting, and use of simple to intermediate functions (such as vlookup).
I would like to find someone that could develop a more comprehensive assignment that forces students to take some raw data and perform some tasks with it, including the following: cleaning/normalizing messy data, summarizing the information into report worksheets and possibly some type of dashboard page, using basic to advanced functions (e.g. nested IF statements, Match, vlookup, hlookup, database functions, date functions, data validation, etc.)
As this is an accounting course with students that have already taken Financial Accounting I, the data used should be financial in nature; possibly asking student to create and format financial statements, A/R aging report, analyzing sales/revenue data, etc.
Just so you are aware, my semester is starting in one week and I need to be able to assign the project by the beginning of October.
