I am creating a remote assistance program similiar to VNC and GotoMyPC, and I need a solution for "streaming" the desktop image to the client (viewer). The best option in my opinion is to take constant screenshots, and compare the two images to find differences, and then transmit only those changed parts to the client. The client would then take that image piece and "put it back together" with the rest of the image. I would simply like an ActiveX control that can capture the screenshot into 2 pictureboxes, and then compare them and output the changed parts in a single .bmp file (256 colors). ...and we are trying to migrate to Alaska's XBASE++. Some Clipper 5.3 are not supported by XBASE++. We use Advantage Database Server from Extended Systems; and experience is very necesary using their asdbe. We requiere help for migrating/compiling initially to XBASE 32bit and have it working fine. This will then also have for our clients a secure way to back-up there data on to our servers through the VPN connection.
