We are looking for designs/renderings of a set of container buildings. The renderings should be of the buildings from the exterior. The renderings should be suitable for our lot size, which is attached. A rough floor plan of the building's concept is attached to this listing -- feel free to change any aspects of the floor plan. If you have an idea for a different or a better floor plan, feel free to design that. The award of the contest will be given to the best renderings/designs of a 24 one-bedroom apartments lot constructed of containers -- located on an 18,000 sqft lot.

Some ideas for the building are as follows:

The building is to contain 24 multi-family units. It will be constructed in Riverside, CA utilizing the unique building materials of shipping containers. This design provides distinctive styling and substantial cost advantages.

The footprint of the complex will be two buildings each with three stories. There will be four units per floor. Each building will centralize plumbing between containers in a cinderblock structure. The total square footage of the site is 18,000 sqft — 49’ by 180’.

Each unit will consist of two contains and an exterior concrete block bathroom. The containers are laid out parallel and merged into one large structure that is 16’ by 40’. On one end of these conjoined containers, a section is laid out for the bedroom. The bedroom wall that is where the doors of the containers would be will be transformed into full-length windows. On the opposite end of the containers is the kitchen.

VERY IMPORTANT -- The exterior should also incorporate art in some respect. -- It should be incorporated into the building and derive a sleek, modern design.

CRITICAL --- There must be parking!!!!! 26 spaces to be precise. You don't have to render those is you don't want, however, it is our idea that the parking will be located on the back part of the property (back 90 feet) that is accessed by a road that is 24ft wide between the units. As of this time, we do not have a conclusive plan as to where the stairs of the units will be located.

A concept of a similar building. is attached. Use it for inspiration, but copying is NOT acceptable! This building needs to be different and unique.
