Hello Freelancers!

READ THIS FIRST: Please submit your proposal as a contest entry in text. You can screenshot what you write or perhaps export to an image file from PDF? I realize this contest format is a little awkward, but lets try it!

I manage the digital marketing (website, social media, search marketing) for a small manufacturer of wooden boats. They have amazing products and I'd really like to start generating more leads (and sales) for them online.

Want I'd like to see from this contest is a proposal outlining a digital strategy for generating leads online that builds on what I've done so far. It can be as short or as long as is appropriate. Proposals that show a foundation in design thinking, and ideally understanding of Lean principles, are preferred.

Right now we have a website at http://winchesterboatworks.com and a facebook presence at www.facebook.com/winchesterboatworks. Take a look at what is there to get a feel for the company, and be aware of what you might add or change to make what's there more effective.

I am interested in re-marketing using facebook and google. I would also like to implement adwords to test messaging and images for print media ad buys.

It is likely that the contest winner will be hired to assist in implementing their proposal. I also work with a couple of other companies, and if we work well together I will need other similar projects done.

  Hey jjmechame, thank you for your feedback! As an additional note to my proposal, there are many specific tactics that could be implemented but here the question is which ones do RELLY suit our customers and which ones do REALLY create traction. That is the point of the Design Thinking / Lean process that I am proposing you. In this document for example, you can see a list of 100 tactics and a format that allows you to run the tests in the search of the best ones.

  So the process to try the specific tactics would be:
  1. Define the Value Proposition (The one I explain in my entry).
  2. From the list of tactics, choose the ones that would suit us to get to Product-Market fit.
  3. Run the tests in a moderate way.
  4. Evaluate the results.
  5. Try the best ones in a bigger scale.
  
  (Many of the tactics are free and the rest are very low cost).

A couple of questions just to clarify what you are aiming at:
-You look for new visuals, navigation pattern, and possibly content of the website and social media to make people WANT to contact the client. Is that correct?
- Once above is done, you want to increase the number of visitors through ads? Correct?
- Also an additional info request: Boat building and fixing is NOT a small cost spontaneous online purchase. Could you share the paths and motivations of previous/existing clients? In other words, what do you know about the typical clients already? Who are they? What are their budgets? What are their concerns? Age? Possibly, how much they use web resources that are already available? Do they prefer personal telephone talk or digital communication?
It would be great if you share as much of this information as you could!
