I am looking for 12 uniquely different faces of Santa Claus that is not clip art. I do not want computer designed artwork. I want illustrations or painting with any medium (oil, watercolor, colored pencil, etc). I want any and every style as well as ethnic. I am going to create something very special with these. I do not want cartoons or line art. I want them colorful and full of life with or without his hat. Some with glasses. Coca-cola Santa is one of my favorites as well as Tom Browning. I have attached a few that I like. Also, would like the winner to do a full painting with background of same Santa. NO stock imagery. Only original artwork.

  "Lucky" is a subjective point of view actually but yes: I so understand what you mean...
  The amount of effort I have poured into mine multiple entries were: A little too much/demanding :/
  But I liked the subject and for some reason sincerely love Santa (Or more what the morals he represents) Soo... I foolishly chose to be this gullible.
  None the less: I have some images I can proudly present in my portfolio with an "I did this"... This is something I can be proud of.

  As for your entry I only would wish two things different: One would be the shoulders more fuller (Sort of has the feel of a cloak on a guy with a T-Shirt rather than a winter coat).. And the second would be the background to be thrown a little more back. At the current state: It is too in line with the vibrancy and warmth of the foreground.
  Yes: You do seem as if you have put an over emphasis to the pose.. though not only the pose.. the way it is meant to capture the light. How both his pointing hand and his face get saturated with the same values from the left.
  
  I so wish your later competitions to render you much more fortunate with what ever competitions you choose to enter to.
  I shall be keeping an eye especially out for what you submit.

I am so shocked at the unprofessionalism of these comments. There was only one winner but I paid out 4 different artists on this contest. I think it comes down to many things especially what someone likes. I know there are a lot of computer generated designs and some of which I liked because they were different. There were so many and I honestly could not tell if they were computer generated, AI or hand drawn. Forgive my ignorance. Ultimately, I loved many of them.

  I think we weren't being unprofessional here. You choose your winners, It is all down to your taste as CH, we all understand that. The point we are talking here is, you wrote about "no computer generated image, painting on any medium etc." on descriptions, while the result is just the opposite. Personally, i feel miss leaded by the descriptions. About you turned out loving those AI images, that's just a matter of taste.

  Ai is some sort of application which you can ask to prompt an image you want. How to know if that entry is authentic? Ask the source files. It's your great evidence for copyright issues. Source file is like PSD file in layered folder, and a 2k-4k export.

Hey artist, I know you worked hard just to get into that level, even me I invested expensive oils and acrylics for my entries, only to be knocked off by a computer generated work from a lazy artist who just pushed the button to create art and claimed it as their work. Feels like a heartbreak right?

  Even though the client demonstrates a pure hypocrisy, it's her Godforsaken right to choose what she wants. The winner is very unethical, the entry itself doesn't reflect of his skills, but I want you to remember this, keep Improving yourself. Now I see all the entries. Almost or all of them are IA generated. You can do that for free, is very easy. Just type some words in a ia program, and wait 5 seconds. It's free. Also, you cant use an IA generated image for comercial purposes.

  Alaaeldien and Amr A.have together have littered the competition with tens of AI entries... Ensuring that theirs is all that is seen... Added tot he many other names that are AI pushers.
  These guys played it "smart".. We played it stupid. Nothing to hold onto their..
  
  But the contest holder who had access to the images from start was obviously dishonest about her thoughts on computer generated imagery.
  And some what superficial in her choices.
  
  Pity neither this website nor anyone else is going to do anything about it.

I feel like a complete IDIOT spending HOURS on something when this "client" has literally chosen almost ONLY computer generated imagery...
I guess it comes down to "NEVER TRUST" someone saying "I do not want computer generated images"... Cause whne the sht hits the fan: All they care is for it to look good.

Smart move Alaa aldein by not giving a damn about ethical approach and bombarding the competition with almost a hundred entries being rather sure that the contest holder would be gullible enough to choose one of yours.

One thing that will never change between me and this guy.. He can NEVER draw like I can.
I am willing to bet my life on it.. But sadly: He will never have to.
When you have "smarts" ... Who needs elbow-grease?

Hi there. So your contest very much caught my attention but I had a few questions before embarking on this endeavor. I understand your looking for traditional art pieces, in that they should be made in mediums such as colored pencil, watercolor, oil, etc. Does this mean you would like the pieces shipped or would you be okay with high-quality images of the art? I was also wondering if the contest prize is your total budget for all 12 illustrations? And if I may ask, is there a specific size range you were looking for? From what I gather you mentioned 8 x 10 in a previous comment. Would this be inches, or centimeters? We use the metric system in my country so I just wanted to make sure of getting it right.
