Extension room layout / interior

Maelezo ya Shindano

Having just received planning permission for a house extension we are unsure of the best room layout for what is going to be quite an unusual L shaped living room. I am looking for someone who can give us some practical room layout options that incorporate our main features as well as ideas for a modern, cosy design scheme.

On the attached plan the sun lounge and lounge are to be one L shaped living room with a diagonal corner as shown in red.

Would like to incorporate a fire place, either electric or a wood burner. Currently thinking a sofa on the right hand wall so you are looking out through the big bifold doors with the fireplace on the left hand wall in front of the sofa... but then where to put the tv... do not want it wall mounted. And how to incorporate the other end of the L so ensure it all flows as one room.

Am pretty open to modern but cosy colour schemes, I like greens, blues and greys.

These are just our initial thoughts but open to all suggestions.

Existing lounge is 3m wide x 3.6
