Logo design for my band (popular cover / party band out of the Washington DC area). This will be used for flyers, YouTube videos, and any other promo material.

Prefer something that has a large feel to it and is exciting to look at. Something makes you say, "wow, I wonder what this band is all about...I bet their good!". If there's a way to incorporate something to make it seem music related too...even better, but not a huge deal. The overall design is most important. A random idea is maybe incorporate LED lights design since the band is a party band with light show/etc. Lights gives it a cool nightclub / party feel. Just a thought.

If you can't figure out how to make it appear big / party....something more simple but stands out (like if it's easily recognizable on a youtube video or flyer) could also work.

There's a chance I could be open to paying for an animation as well since we'll be incorporating this into YouTube videos. So, a chance for more work if we like the logo and you have the capability.

PS: I like the look of the logo attached (with the lights/etc). Again, just an idea but it has a slick look to it.

Also, I've attached the current logo that I designed. I think this one is "ok" and would like to find something better.

  so, really like the washington monument concept. i dont like the fonts and it still doesnt feel like a totally professional logo for what i need but the idea is there. see the washington wizards logo with the monument and star in the middle. that's kinda cool. i like where you're thoughts are going on this...but still feels like it's about 1/2 way there.

  hey, the concept is kinda cool. i'm not a fan of the outside circle and i think it needs more work to really make it the kinda professional logo i'd need but you're on to something.

  awesome, thanks! that was our first show and we only had 1 practice - and the sound/lights were horrible at that gig (and it was an early time slot) but we have a MUCH better show now. bigger/more awesome songs and just a lot more fun. that was an uncomfortable first show for us but every band has to go through that i think. FYI, i'm a graphic artist myself so really hoping to get a logo better than i can design myself. so far, nothing's really jumped out. our current logo is something i designed and is better than anything i've seen so far. really hoping for something eye popping or just so classic that i say, "wow...that's the one!". thanks again!!

  Thanks! Yes, text based and LED / instruments is really just an idea. Most important is something slick yet professional so people get the feel that we're a legit and professional band....but the logo is also awesome. I'm pretty open. Just need something that sticks.
